You kids are not at fault, they passed strange laws to make a better consumer, Me , Myself, and I, is what Dr Spok introduced,  the lobbiest jumped on it, made it law under our collective noses, now you can see what it has born, be very careful what laws are made, some can kill you in the end.  Used to be, someone who was off-key was noticed before they did harm, and dealt with humanely, not killed as it was not needed, in hospitals and counseling if needed as peer pressure did well. Bullies were just that, as home and friends fixed it, or a friend helped pound the dickens out of they so they would think better next time, worked well and they lived a productive life.

Oh, its still on the books and enforced on anyone who receives Welfare, or for some reason noticed by the legal system, you go to jail if you try and fix your family, and nudge neighbors

Jacksonville, you know why you wont get this type of Convenience store? you are mean oriented, allowing the crud in our midst to control how we interact with each other, no excuses all, you have allowed the bad guys to select how we live here. we are entertained with robbery and shootings, enjoy

I know we use the excuse other large cities use, let the cops do the dirty work, no peer pressure to behave on our fellows and friends, is it any wonder why our crime is so high?  it used to be, we looked down our nose at the "New York Syndrome" now all big cities have this disease. It has always been our duty to make the bad guys behave, start when they are little, our kids and our neighbors, not now, we made laws that prevent it (Darn I hate that Dr.Spok)
