N Q, I keep old cams just incase they resurrect. Also, I look at the last stills on them. Silly really but if it's a view you like....

Nice links, girls.

Mira Bilis, along the River Dart there are quite a few trees that have slid down the river bank after the rain. Eventually they'll end up in the river and go downstream to Riverford Bridge and block it. It's a single lane bridge used by buses and lorries as well as ordinary vehicles. When it happens they'll have to close the bridge to protect the workmen. If I can see that, surely the powers-that-be know about it. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I just reminded myself of someone then! Oh... but my spelling is ok!

Ban the trolls!!!

Lovely isn't it NQ. :)   I expect all those trees above the village help to reduce flooding from snowmelt ... tree roots make great sponges and also help to prevent landslides (hence the problems some places have with slides and flooding due to deforestation.)  Sorry, that's the 'tree farmer' in me talking! LOL!  :D

thanks Mira for the websites. I love how this village is built at the bottom of a mountain-

I wonder if they get flooded out when the snow melts in the Spring ?

Mira Bilis 08/02/14 16:27

Here's the cam page, there are several, which might explain why the view keeps changing ...  http://www.gosautal.net/webcam/

:)

Mira Bilis 08/02/14 16:23

LOL ... now if only they could get rid of the new trolls too!  ;D

N Q 08/02/14 16:05

MD I'm done ignoring you !

I've gone through over 300 webcams and got rid of 45 dead cams, kept another dozen dead cams that I hope come back at some time and found that YIPPEE, Opentopia got rid of the baby crib cam  which was way too invasive of a webcam !

MD 08/02/14 15:55

N Q, sorry I called you Trix. I wasn't expecting anything from you as you'd given notice that you were ignoring us!  LOL!!!

MD 08/02/14 15:44

And now it's the mountain. LOL!!!! Did you see that apostrophe that leapt into my last comment? Tsk!

MD 08/02/14 15:43

Trix, that's happened to me before. You type your comment, add comment and then scroll back up to see something entirely different. I can see people at the moment. Well, I could' but now it's an empty river bank!

N Q 08/02/14 15:30

LOL I made the previous post and by the time I was done the view is back to the mountains. The previous view was of groups of people along the lake shore swimming.

N Q 08/02/14 15:28

They've change the view on this cam. It looks like there's a lot of families taking advantage of the lake today.
