Lol!  Without the shade the water would get too warm and the fish would come to the surface, gasping. That's when they get sunburn!  LOL

there is nothing  more ugly than a fish with a sunburn...lol

That's why the pond plants are there.

i think it looks beautiful and am glad the fish have some shade,,,

Interesting, the weeds are so numerous, one cant see the fish unless one comes to the top
