And I moved from South-east England to North-west Washington State, so I literally moved from one temporate climate to another ... the weather here is almost identical to where I came from and the geographical latitude is almost the same too. The only difference here being, bigger mountains and bigger forests. http://www.nps.gov/olym/index.htm :-)

Hi Carol, I live at the bottom right of the green blob, in Devon, England. Click on Land of Granite and you will see how beautiful it is.

Hey MD, where exactly do u live? what country?

Hi Carol and Jules. Carol, I lived in France for many years and also spent a lot of time in Spain. It seemed to be sunny every day and I got fed up of it and came to live in the UK. Now I look at the sunny places in France and Spain and think "How lovely."
And Jules, there IS something lovely about living near mountains. For a while I lived in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Now I live in a little place within Dartmoor National Park and I'm surrounded by hills. My views are wonderful but I don't think of that as I'm climbing the hill to get home!

I moved to Southern California to get away from the snow, but seeing this makes me kind of miss the beauty of snow.

I wonder if this is near the alpaca farm? It looks very similar, the mountains are wonderful. I miss living near mountains. I used to live on the beginnings of the foothills in San Jose, California. I now live in a quite flat area in northern England.
