American rivers used to have them, alas, no more, at least most dont. All things change when man is involved.

A truism is all creatures that are successful change with what ever weather and enviornment patterns are.

THis causes change to all the latter, so change is the constant, oh well

AS a fisherman and a retired artist, these are beautiful creatures, and have been around since the Dinosaurs

they must be mating, lots of roe in the water

that type of behavior for these fish is nearly unheard of, and the reason they live so long, hmmmmmm

wonder what is happening????? they are attacking each other, that takes some biological interferance to cause it

the thing that facinates me is, they appear to have forward looking eyes, and likely have stereoscopic vision, very odd for any of the fish family

I salute you putting this cam up, it will educate folks on just what these gentle creatures are, and to leave them alone

I stand corrected, Sbierian Stergeon are the longest now over 20 feet and over 2000 pounds

Sturgeon are prehistoric  creatures that have been around since before the dinosaurs.

  Not sure about European Versions, but in America they only get to 20 feet now. I have read accounts from the Old Wests of 40 footers, but one never knows if accurate or not from a time that is not reachable
