Hi Luc .... beautiful pictures .... lovely area. About Lourdes ...... somewhere I have postcards showing those crutches. Maybe they got fed up of having to dust them. LOL

Hello MDD,   I think that now  in Lourdes, the crutches aren t anymore on the walls. Younger, as  a catholic, I was used to bring there my lutherian friends to show them how it can be an impressive place.  Sometimes, we couldn t park the car as the place was full.  

I'm watching Unsolved Mysteries and they are on about the miracles at Lourdes. My daughter and I stayed there in October 1999 and although we aren't Catholics we did the tourist thing that they show you in this link. One thing that surprises me about the link is that they don't show you the walls with crutches on them .... crutches that were left there by people who had experienced "a miracle." Crutches from the ground up to about 20 feet high... hundreds of them.

Luc ...... it's a lovely area. I went to the grotto at Lourdes ..... an amazing place. And the air is so clear near the Pyrenees - as you know. No pollution and it's a little cooler than the cities. I would definitely go for a holiday!!!

Wow      I was born near and when i was young I was used to go to Lescun, Borce, Etsaut   Accous   and all Aspe valley for holidays.

Last time I was with my wife to show her so marvelous places maybe 25 years ago. Should we go again once ?

Your temperature seems to yo yo. I finally switched off my central heating yesterday so our temperatures are sure to drop. :)
