Trix ........ as if I would tell you to read between the lines ...... I know you do! I agree with you about Mother Earth. I think Mother Nature is having a crisis at the moment. I'm looking out at blue skies with rain clouds flying across so fast ...... and it's raining. I hear that California has had a terrible storm.

Trix ..... you only need to read the first couple of paragraphs and look at the map. Lots of The Netherlands are reclaimed from the sea and are below sea level. I don't think the flood on this cam is to do with global warming. Maybe they were inviting trouble in the first place by making the country bigger at the expense of the sea. Water finds its own level and maybe nature thinks this land should be returned to what it was ..... underwater.
Lots of the Netherlands are areas reclaimed from the sea. Maybe the sea is trying to claim it back.

I haven't commented on this cam lately but I noticed that there is flooding here about every 2 weeks and in between it dries out almost completely.
Today is the worst of the flooding I've seen so far, very little dry land.

I took a look at this cam yesterday and the flooding had receeded to the point that there was only a small pond of water to the north of the bridge. It must of really rained last night that flooding is worst then it was last week !

Thanks Mira for finding that, I hadn't thought to do a wider search then weather for Almelo, Netherlands.
Strange but I'm not finding anything in my searches about extreme rainfall for this area. During my search I did find that Almelo has a population of 72,000 and here I thought that by the looks of this cam that Almelo was a small farming community.

Ah okay, lol! But still, it's nice to have home grown produce at your fingertips ... very satisfying.

Tell her to bottle it and sell it Trix ... that stuff is expensive around here.
That storm in California was pretty bad ... http://www.latimes.com/local/weather/la-me-ln-powerful-storm-southern-california-sunday-20160131-story.html I noticed how wet and windy it was on the 'Cabin Cam' yesterday.
