OMG....you are soooooo lucky!!!!!!!!!! we always have a gas stove so when the power goes out in the winter, we can still be warm!!! I'm surprised you didn't smell the gas...here, all gas companies put stinky stuff with the gas so we can smell it if there is a leak!!!!

When I was 17 or 18 I made the mistake of accidentally turning the gas on to the oven instead of a ring on the top. To light the oven --- you turned the knob, waited a short time and then lit the gas. I didn't realise I'd turned the wrong knob. Unfortunately ..... I then turned ...
