OMG.....the VAT looks so confusing....do you at least have something like an income tax which would refund a percentage of your VAT each year?...we have an 8% meal tax! hubby just left to get pizza and onion rings!!!

You are so lucky. We have VAT on practically everything and you pay extra on "luxury goods" like chocolate biscuits. The standard rate is 20%. Isn't that scandalous? They tax you when you earn it and tax you when you spend it. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinanc...

we are 1 of a handfull of states with no tax, except in restaurants....thats why we get so many of the neighboring states coming here!!

I'm down to 1,400g of 85% good choc and 300g of cheap and cheerful stuff. I bought the cheap stuff today ...... and that's what I have left after eating some! Shame about that weather. I used to love going camping. Where would they have gone?

I did notice the earlier comments, I think the camera predator is still out there. I suppose I could have better described it as a giant sandpit in the center of Düren.

Rain Shadow ..... I'm sure you will have seen from earlier comments that this cam used to zoom into someone's living room. It was very invasive. The pitch looks too sandy to be a street.
