After a nice thaw, the coldest air of the season is here. The water is getting thick again. The antennas are moving around with all the wind and very little wave action. Ice soon to follow again.

Just watching, it's a shame how many people are addicted to those stupid smart phones. I see families in local eateries sitting there at the table, not talking to each other while messing with their phones. Nice quality time together.

Yes, most likely a combination of all the heavy rain, plus being weakened from the last storm ... it happens a lot around here, which is why the PUD are so quick to respond and sort it out.

Well done MD! We just had a power outage because two trees fell on power lines about a mile up the road. All up and running again now ... the local power company is a marvel.
