hubby just left....electrician is hooking up the alarms today!!!!!  hubby told daughter w/kids that i was going to rent a dumpster to finish clearing the attic...she said she would be there "soon"!!! the sap will run again as soon as the temps get above freezing!!!

wow....thats a lot of rain!!  we will be in the 20's this week so the sap will not be running!! hubby already brought home some of neices "rubbish"....when i see it about, i will throw it away!!!!! OMG....those winds are terrible!!!

I hope your neice's rubbish doesn't end up at your place. At this precise moment it's not raining but the wind is shocking. It rained for 2 solid days and all through last night and it only stopped a couple of minutes ago. They have forecast more rain for the next 6 days .... wit...

daughter uses coconut oil for everything...face cream, hair conditioner, in baking!!! my niece finally went down to my moms house and took 2 car loads of stuff out of the attic...hubby says she left at least a car load of rubbish but he, of course, said he would take care of it!!...

I'm glad you had a lovely time. Son couldn't miss "first responders." Red Velvet cake looks a fuss to make ..... I'm sure the shop ones were delicious ..... you didn't hear me complain about my slice. LOL I use a coconut hair conditioner. I love the smell but I find coconut itsel...

PS....daughter boiled more sap yesterday...she got about 4 ounces of lovely amber syrup...plus she made apple jelly!!!

Hi Deacon .... it seems a shame after so much work has been done. Hopefully there will be a reverse in whatever has caused the hold up. I'd love to see the building finished and busy. I see from the comments that it's been like this for a couple of years. A real pity.

On a job this big, there is always a lot of finger pointing when things go wrong. That along with change orders, money etc. will stall big projects. Maybe the site is over a giant land fill and gasses are making their way to the surface.

It's really bad in the West Country but much worse further north. We have flood warnings and some low lying places are flooded but it's nothing compared to other areas. I feel sorry for them. Earlier .... the rain was so heavy I couldn't see the hill opposite. At this moment I'm ...
