I don't understand how they work it out. My time on benefits was 1983-1986 and things have obviously changed. I can see why people don't want to work if they can get benefits ..... that amount is more than the average wage. So in the US .... $600 means you are too rich for health...

OMG MD.....thats a lot of money for welfare people!!!!!!!  almost $38 thousand??? OMG....families here woud be lucky to get $1,000 a month!!!!!!

I was on welfare for 3 years. It gave me enough to tick over but not enough to do repairs. The kids got free uniforms and free school dinners ..... which they found embarrassing. I was grateful for what they gave me. My son left school on a Friday and started work the next Monday...

i will call the inspectors back in for another inspection as soon as the alarms are in and new switches in kitchen and bathroom and the chimney is repaired and the out flow pipe to the furnace is done....those are "safty" issues!!!!  worn floors are not safty issues!!!

Good morning Trix ..... I'm surprised you don't!!! The first house we bought in France was huge. We bought it with the intent of doing bed & breakfast but found we didn't need to. Anyway .... there were enough rooms for hubbby and I to avoid each other from morning till night ......

i just want to get rid of all the g-kids things (my moms g-kids)...i want to fix the room up there...makes a great little "hide-away"...hubby can hardly get up the stairs!!!!
