Mira ... they say you should never go back ..... I just looked up the Miam Miam restaurant and read only one comment. It was horrible so I stopped reading. I'll stick to my memories. :)

It was the only place to sit down for miles! Half an hour to recover and then walk a bit further. Happy days. It's nice that you've been to the area. You know how lovely it is. The air and light have a different quality to the UK .... not that Devon isn't lovely in its own way.

There's a bit more bamboo on the other side, if you look on Streetview. It looks very peaceful there.

Thanks Mira .... that's the place but it looks like they've cut the bamboo back ..... it used to be taller and they've added the green rail. We used to sit on the wall and drink a 25cl bottle of biere .... or 2. Ste Maxime is a pretty place but my fondest memory of it is the Mia...

Mira ....... hubby and I used to go for walks on the north side of Ste Maxime and there used to be a bridge over a stream ...... bamboo canes grew there .... obviously not as majestic as the ones in the jigsaw. We used to sit on the bridge wall and listen to the wind blowing thro...

Thanks Mira ..... I enjoy the puzzles you choose for me. I've not finished that bamboo one yet .... but I will! I'm sure Santa was still there quite late last year. I love the way he's illuminated.

Yes, is lovely ... I've taken a screengrab and will make into another jigsaw for you. :) Maybe they're leaving Santa up until after Eastern Orthodox Christmas is over ... today (January 8th) is their Christmas Day.
