Mira ..... I thank you very much but I'm frozen with fear!!! I don't think I can tackle it but I'll take the laptop down to BJ's and get her to do it for me. I really don't have the nerve. I'll limp along and be grateful I've got Opentopia. :D

MD, unfortunately I can't help you with your virus scan anyway, as you don't know what virus software you use ... I'm guessing Norton perhaps, if it came with your laptop ... but I don't like or use Norton.

Trix has a point. On your top left menu bar click 'History' then click "Clear Recent History' ... that will bring up a list of check boxes ... from there you can choose how far back in time you want to go and check the boxes you want to clear.

Mira .... I wouldn't know how to do a virus scan but it does it automatically at 6pm every day. Trix .... no .... that's not what I get. I just get a small bar about 2inches deep, in the middle of my screen. As for cookies ..... I only know how to eat them!!!!! I'll be so glad ...

Trix ... when yours crashes ... what do you do? I tried switching of manually ... waiting a little while and then switching back on ..... only to find it exactly the same. The first time it froze was on BBCiplayer which Mira knows is no threat at all.

Hi Mira ..... I just checked .... as you taught me .... by clicking on Help .... then About Firefox and it tells me it's up to date. It's made me not happy to Google anything ..... which is silly but I'd rather be sure of Opentopia.

Hi ladies ... MD, did your Firefox update to version 42.0 the other day? I occasionally get those Firefox crash messages too. Normally I just restart the browser and/or run a Malwarebytes virus scan, just to be on the safe side.

Trix ..... I googled "comments by Kyle Gosnell" ....... I spotted 3 that looked interesting..... put them to open in new tabs and when I went to open the first tab .... a message came up on screen saying "This is embarrassing. Firefox has crashed" ...... and a load of other stuff...
