Ah ... there seemed to be white flakes coming down when I commented.  We've actually had a sprinkling of rain here today but not enough to make any difference to the dry conditions.  It has been a lot cooler lately though, which is much more comfortable.

Snow?

Actually, having checked their species list, they may have been western toads, not frogs ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_toad

Heheh!

LOL!!!!!!!!!! I wonder where the frogs are now. It's much too hot for cold-blooded creatures and they obviously can't survive under water.

LMAO!!  Indeed MD. :D  Mind you, you should have seen the size of those frogs they were looking at last night ... huge buggers! 0_0

Mira  .... I take that to mean motion as in an animal pottering about .... rather like the motion detectors that switch on security lights. I think the only motion in this puddle that would cause anyone to pay attention is if the Loch Ness Monster surfaced.  LOL!!!
Mira Bilis · Aug 8, 2015 19:07
The Coyote Pond page says: "The camera can detect motion and notify a researcher that an event has occurred by emailing the researcher with the current image attached to the email."  So I hope someone also gets the memo about ...

Mira ... thanks. I'm not sure it's a motion censor but I get the idea. Trix and I have seen water gushing in and we think the ballcock on the right stops the water when it reaches the allotted depth. It must be time for more inflow. I hope you know .... Trix and I really missed y...

A lot of laundry.
Mira Bilis · Aug 8, 2015 18:37
Correct MD ... I changed this cam name and put a link to show that this image is the same as on their website ... the link is headed 'Coyote Pond.'  :)  The cams have automatic motion sensors so hopefully there's also a system in place which tells them when the water level gets t...
