Hi Bill .... maybe there are underwater obstructions making the water shallower in places..... not that the boats we see need much depth of water.

Mira .... in my 15 years in France I learned that the French do things for maximum impact. Strikes right now are hitting hard because it's the holiday season. Half way through October won't be half as interesting for them! :D

Mira .... I always found that when the French went on strike ... or "greve" it was usually for good reason. They believe in solidarity and come out on strike to support other strikers. No matter what the strike is about .... eventually it ends up with the petrol refineries being ...

Hi Luc ... Opentopia does that sometimes with duplicate posts ... no idea why. :) I love the idea of your dad trying to stop the Tour de France. I think the rest of the world often sees the French as very militant ... lots of protests and strikes for any reason. ;) In America ...

Hey MDD You travelled a lot. Of course Limoges is known for the station rail looking at gare de lyon in paris and by the famous porcelaine. I didnt know this ticket system until now but maybe it disappear since 2003
