Hi MD, I remember the frosts in the UK.. that's where I was born, Scotland, and lived there until 1974. I come from a small town in the west coast of Scotland called Troon. There's an island called Arran just across the bay where we spent many happy hours going over on the ferry ...

If you really want to go crazy with maps etc. I recommend you download Google Earth ... loads of cool stuff to play with on that ... I use it a lot.  :) http://www.google.com/earth/

Mira .... I noticed the clouds over the UK and thought it looked similar to the weather map I saw on the news earlier but I thought it was coincidence. I never click on anything .... maybe I should experiment more ...... but only after you've told me what to click on!!!!!  LOL

It's also cool that the clouds are in real time, as well as the dark and sunlit parts of the planet.  :)

And now I'm back!  Mira .... when I first zoomed out I was a bit worried because I could still see place-names but when I zoomed out a bit further ........ superb. For once I didn't mind how fast it rotated. Truly amazing.  :D

Mira ... you are more than likely right.  Certainly fast-flowing tonight but sometimes there's very little water. I should think melting snow and/or rain has helped the swell.

You might be right MD ... Achenkirk sits at the northern end of Achensee, and looking on the maps there's a river called Seeache that runs through the village.  I reckon the water on the cam is part of that. :)

Now that's interesting. It says drainage ditch but it makes me wonder if there's a bit of H.E.P. going on.

Mira .... Paris was almost the first place I went to. It really is a fantastic feature and I would never have thought of clicking on "tilt view."   It makes such a difference.  :)
