Homely I always thought thatch roofs were an Irish thing so it's surprising to see them in other places. I once watched a DIY show that showed how thatch roofs are put on, it was interesting to watch.

I have quite a few of the water cams in My Cams because I enjoy cooling off by watching the water. We've already have had a week of hot humid days and summer hasn't even started :(

Homely I have a friend in CT that's having the same problem with both her tomatoes and her peas, it's a shame to go to all the work to put in a garden, only to have the produce eaten by somebody other than you ! Keeping busy can be a good thing, time seems to go by faster but ha...

Stone Bridge and Cathedral — Regensburg, Germany

This was a very lovely town to visit. If I recall correctly, that bridge dates back to the 12th century. Just on the other side of it on the right bank is a little open air restaurant that has been serving sausages for about as long as the bridge has been in place.

Fascinating! And just today I saw a picture of houses in Japan that also have thatched roofs. I always thought it was a UK thing.

Hello, Ladies! Just my luck I get massively busy when OT is resurrected! SS, sounds like you "made do" with Germany :-) I am trying to get to Toulouse next spring - still studying French, but not sure how much good it will do me! I hope that by now you have safely returned from O...

Roundabout Traffic — Belgrade, Serbia

This looks like the beginning of another protest, lots of people walking around the center of the roundabout and cars/trams at a standstill at times. https://i.postimg.cc/gkGjTsr6/Screenshot-2026-05-29-081916.png

When I saw the last saved picture of thousands of people standing in this roundabout, I googled it and found that they're potesting their president and government corruption which with being from the US with a corrupt President, I understand why they're protesting ! https://www.y...

They've added a new animal sculpture to their yard, a big silver bull, to go along with the brown moose to the right.

Hi NQ and Homely. Our favorite place to visit is the South of France. But Germany is beautiful in the spring and we loved seeing Copenhagen and the Baltic Sea on a ferry. We are traveling to Ohio next weekend for a wedding. Then no more travel until a trip to Maryland in Se...

Homely you might be right about it being a riding arena. I have it in My Cams so that I can keep an eye on it before changing it's name, so far I've seen what looks like farm equipment come and go from here, so I'm incline to call it a Machine shed. Do you have plans for this we...
