trix beer can chicken has a very crispy skin because it's not sitting in it's own juices. I've only made it once in my oven but have had it a couple of times off from a bbq. It's really good tasting chicken ! You drink half of the can of beer first :) then sit a whole chicken dow...

No snow at all. Today I went out because it was sunny. The breeze was strong and cold but the sun lured me out. Before I came home there was a sudden shower of sleet and then back to sunshine. And we never had the 80 miles an hour winds that were forecast.

LOL!!!! I've had anything but a sheltered life. The ham and veg mix fried sounds very similar to what we call bubble and squeak. And I'm a firm fan of that! And............................. didn't you say you hadn't had beer can chicken????????????? LOL!!!!!

MD...yes...definitely let me know about the chicken...he loved the cake and also had boiled dinner (ham,potato,onions, carrots and cabbage) leftovers fried......LOL...i'm thinking you have lived a very sheltered life never having english muffin pizza or wacky cake or drunk chicke...

Trix....... I used to put an onion inside the chicken when I did it. That kept it moist but the skin was still crispy. I'll let you know when we try out the beer can roasting. :)) Good job your son cleared the roof. Must be a relief for you and the roof. I hope he enjoyed his wa...

MD...i'm glad your son is doing so well now...as soon as my son finished the roof it started snowing again...as for the chicken...i don't know if you can get a crisp skin when beer can cooking it....wouldn't it make too much steam???
