My son was that age when he tried to kill himself. Thank goodness he didn't manage it! My daughter just said what a clever idea to use a beer can and beer..... reckoned it would keep the flesh moist as the skin crisped. I can see us trying that out. LOL

Trix.... I used to use one of these gadgets to roast a chicken. My oven was eye-level with a glass door and I used to enjoy watching the skin bubble as the fat cooked out. Also.... every bit of the skink crisped up. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/vertical-chicken-roaster

MD....you check the backside of the skin the next time you have it...i'm sure most of not all of the fat will be gone!!!! it's the best part of the chicken!!!! there was lots of melted fat on the pan when i took them from the oven!!!!!

Trix.... I've brought us to the sidebar! Logically, as the fat cooks out of the chicken skin... then the wings have to be less fat. My daughter does chicken thighs. She rubs them with salt and then roasts them. The crispy skin is the tastiest part but I still try not to eat too ...
