and now it's almost gone :( I checked out Nelly's with hopw of seeing it there with some color but I'm not seeing it there. Go check out the volcano cam, the lava is bright red now that it's dark there--quite the sight to see !

indigo I also love the snow UNLESS I have to drive in it and I hate anything below -10 temps. I can easly handle -10 but once it starts getting colder then that, then I hate the thought of going outside.

It looks like they have Aurora lights here tonight or else it's just some funky camera lighting effect.

blue jays fly away when i go out to but not far...they watch me fill the feeders and when i go in they call to all the other jays that there's food now...about 4 different kinds of birds will eat from my hand....and heck....i thought it was cause they liked me...LOL

We do have chickadees ... but they don't visit our garden every day. If the birds eat out of your hand Trix then that proves just how bad your winters get. :/ The birds here are very wild, even the jays fly away if I step outside ... but they will come up onto the back porch in...

fox sparrows are beautiful birds...you don't have chickadees?? junkos will eat out of my hand in the winter if the bird feeder is empty :)

We have dark-eyed juncos here ... along with the steller's jays and fox sparrows, they're pretty much the only birds that stay in our garden all year round. Everything else is either a summer visitor or a winter visitor. It certainly keeps things interesting. :) Beautiful day t...

Good link Trix, thanks. :) The Westman Islands are off the south coast of Iceland. The bardarbunga volcano is near the centre of Iceland ... so nowhere near eachother. I just picked on the Westman cam to comment as I love the view. :D
