I told them I was too busy chatting on Opentopia!  :D  I was so annoyed back in the 70's when I came back from a holiday in France to find out Mick Jagger had got married just a few miles away from where we were. I'd have liked to see that but he didn't invite me!  :(

I need to study the website in more detail.  On first glance it looks like it's as much a digital archive as library for books ... which might explain why it doesn't have lots of rooms lined with bookshelves.  ;) And hopefully they're using energy-efficient lighting, etc.  :)

Our rain stopped mid-morning and now the sun is shining and the sky's clear blue. I expect it's the same for Feral.

Looks like they're setting up a stage in the square.

Mira Bilis... how very miserable to have slit windows to keep the workers from distractions. This place must have plenty of artificial light... which is silly as well as expensive. Carbon footprint and all that!

They've had plenty of time to fill the shelves. If it's not up to standard we won't stay very long! LOL

Here's the link ... http://www.lnb.lv/en Maybe they make the windows that way so people will concentrate on the books without being distracted.  I used to work in an office building like that ... slits for windows so the workers wouldn't be tempted to keep looking outside!  :/

Mira.. as you know, France has a very relaxed outlook on most things. When they first brought in "separate" smoking and non-smoking areas in restaurants we were amused to see that our local diner had just put a few non-smoker tables alongside the other tables. We were all breathi...

The sky at Hornavan looks like our sky here today .... hoping the rain will come soon ... there's a huge swathe of cloud out in the Pacific which is nudging toward us.  :)

LOL!!  It's a strange looking building. I still think the windows are too slitty for a library. I wonder if there'll be a buffet???  :D

Indeed Trix ... actually 'jacket' and 'baked' are both used equally in Britain.  ;)  And we did have sour cream with ours, along with bacon salt.  :D
