it appears ther mr fixit put a anti-virus thingy in my puter and it was causing my puter to act illiterate...i deleted his crap and solved half the problem...going to delete adobe and reinstall next...mr fixit my arse...

On 'New Scandinavian Cooking' they say that free-range hens who have laid eggs all their lives but are no longer laying, have excellent meat ... tender and healthy. But the emphasis is on free-range. :)

Yes, that was so funny! I'm sure after all the egg-sitting and such, they are probably getting a little on edge. Then after they hatch, gotta feed the litte buggers constantly. Hope he brings her a big fat worm or something special on Mother's Day...she deserves it!

I just read on Yahoo that the meat of "laying" chickens would be tougher than chickens bred purely for the table. I wouldn't want to eat a tough old bird!

Hi lizardmomma, they do seem to be aware of the camera, little posers! I wonder if we'll get to see one of them cussing at the camera like last year. I know we both saw it happen. So funny.

They receive the baby chicks here and they are raised untill they are of egg laying age. Then they are trucked out in crates to the 'laying barns'. after that, they are dinner. Approx 10,000 chickens per coop and probably of that number 20-25 Roosters emerge along with one sc...
