I thought Gimli sounded vaguely familiar. I remember seeing the film, "Freefall: Flight 174," with William Devane. An Air Canada Boeing 767, en route from Montreal to Edmonton, ran out of fuel and managed to glide for miles before landing at Gimli. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G...
