Mira Bilis, very true. I don't know of ANY damage being caused by yesterday's quake. Also, it's over so quickly you have no time to panic whereas watching a tornado come your way would be terrifying.

Personally, I'd rather have the very occasional tremor, rather than an annual tornado. Minor 'earthquakes' cause little or no damage ... tornados are far more destructive.

LOL no you wouldn't want to put off the tourists :) The house feeling like it's going to fall down is the reason I never want to feel an earthquake, even if it lasts only a minute or 2, that's too long to feel like everything around you is about to come down on you !

This is what it looks like out my window right now. I think Hayward got atleast 5" more then I did. All of the tree limbs are covered with heavy snow, winter wonderland :)
