My hair is almost the same shade of purple as in the video! I offered to treat my daughter to any colour she wanted but she refused. She thinks I'm going through my second childhood. :))

Mira Bilis, very true. I don't know of ANY damage being caused by yesterday's quake. Also, it's over so quickly you have no time to panic whereas watching a tornado come your way would be terrifying.
Personally, I'd rather have the very occasional tremor, rather than an annual tornado. Minor 'earthquakes' cause little or no damage ... tornados are far more destructive.

The house feeling like it's going to fall down is the reason I never want to feel an earthquake, even if it lasts only a minute or 2, that's too long to feel like everything around you is about to come down on you !
I wonder if they're painting their diningroom ceiling due to the fact that they have plastic draped over their sideboard or maybe the ceiling is leaking.

This is what it looks like out my window right now. I think Hayward got atleast 5" more then I did. All of the tree limbs are covered with heavy snow, winter wonderland :)
