On the news, I've just watched vulnerable people being rescued from their flooded homes by volunteers, just other neighbours. No real organisation or help from the authorities. It's such a mess.

I saw that. Somerset has been the worst hit but yesterday the Thames broke its banks so another area is under water.

We watched Countryfile yesterday, the one aired last week, where they visited a farmer on the Somerset Levels. I've never seen flooding that bad before ... it was heartbreaking. :(

Well the cafe is certainly in a 'prime location' as far as serving truckers/motorists is concerned. Maybe we should think up our own new name for the place ... how about Kyle's Cafe?? ;-P Just kidding Kyle. ;-D

Mira Bilis, the drivers usually get out of the trucks and walk towards the cam. There's a food store, pizzeria etc. across the road from the parking area. I suspect that's where they go at the moment but things might change when the place re-opens. Can't call it Nelly's anymore!

Today they have taken down the Nelly's cafe sign. If I was taking the place over, I would not be happy to have all that snow piled up by my door.
