Poor Homely, such a let down when you come back from a holiday. I love Google earth. I like taking the little man for walks around places I'm familiar with but it's odd to go along one street filmed in 2012 and turn into a street filmed in 2009 where things are not as they should...

Thanks for the link, MD! I love that the sat cam view is all in snow, but the streetview is warm and sunny. What a lovely town it is! And I still hope they get that road fixed soon... meanwhile, have to go back now to unpacking and cleaning up from our North Yorkshire jaunt. Sigh...

I just had a look on Google map. This side of the cam there is a co-op supermarket open 7 days a week. The Google map is dated July 2011 and things might have changed since then. Have a look for yourself:
