My water bill is every 3 months. Electricity used to be the same but the last 2 or 3 years they bill more often. It doesn't work out a penny dearer but it annoys me. :D

They only read our electricity meters once a year ....... we seem to get random bills. I paid my last one on 2nd of July and they are already after more money. The water people seem more capable.

she usually calls, so I hope I beat her to it! why on earth would they do an "estimate"? ours only does that if there is a blizzard and they can't get through...the reading is done by computers now...they just have to drive by!!!

Did they send you a reminder? My electricity supplier sent a bill based on an estimated reading and wanted over £140. I read the meter myself and sent them the figures. My bill is £61.82. Why should they have nearly £80 of my money sitting in their bank account?!
