Hi Phoenix ... that's the only time I've had Fussen beer, obviously just a local thing but I'll never forget it.
And since typing that I've wasted about an hour on Youtube looking at Honda Goldwing motorbikes!!! I was trying to find one the same as ours but got sidetracked by newer editions. Ours was an Aspencade. With 2 up it weighed about half a ton so that reverse gear was worth its weight in gold. It had radio but hubby converted it to helmet-to-helmet intercom so we could chat as we whizzed along. Happy days.
I lived in the Languedoc-Roussillon region for years so my favourite tipple is a good red wine. Tesco have a Corbieres that the French would describe as "costaud," translated as "blow-your-head-off!"
Looks like there's a market on today. Wow, a motorbike with a reverse gear! Bet it would have come in handy when parking it. I remember I had to get a push from the front sometimes when I parked my Harley.... no reverse gears on that one! That was funny about the beer, never heard of it though.. Hubby likes Heiniken.. I like a nice Pinot Grigio.. The castle was the inspiration for the Disney castle, and I can see why. Gosh, it's perched on the edge of the cliff! Wouldn't like to have been on the building team, that's for sure! :-)

Yes ... one of my favourite cams. I love Bavaria. Years ago hubby and I visited this castle:
We were on a Honda Goldwing, the first and only motorbike I've ever been on that had reverse gear. The only way that these photos can be taken is by a drone or helicopter, there are no vantage points for ordinary people to take photos, the terrain is so rugged. There's another castle nearby at Fussen but for me - the best thing about Fussen was its beer. We stayed for a week at a little bed and breakfast. There was a fridge on the landing filled with beers, wines and soft drinks. We tried a bottle of Fussen and were hooked. Each morning we told our host what we had taken from the fridge and he replaced it during the day. We left with the backbox full of the stuff. :D

This angle is better for seeing the crowds but I still wish it was in colour.
