OK after googling some more I found an article that states you can remove internet explorer from W7 but after reading it I see that they are just stating how to turn off internet explorer on W7.

trix I take that back, I just googled it and see that if you have W8.1 or W10 then you can remove internet explorer because it is a stand alone browser on both those os's.
then the person who wrote that info on that website doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, unless he was explaining how to get rid of internet explorer by installing a linux operating system on your pc and getting rid of your W7 operating system.
trix Quicktime is a security risk so best to get rid of it.
You can't get rid of Internet Explorer because it's built into your operating system and it's used for downloading all windows updates. Just don't use it.
