At that time ... I wasn't prepared to pay twice the price just for a hinged lid. I didn't know anyone who had a halogen oven so had no idea if it was going to be any good. Maybe if I'd known how good they are ... I'd have gone for the hinged lid .... it would certainly be easier....

Mine is the Andrew James one, the one they criticize. I bought it on special offer and it came with lots of extras ... one of which was a metal stand that I can happily park the lid on. I've had it at least 3 years and I'm happy with it. Plus .... it's fun to watch bacon cooking ...

I always cook bacon in my halogen oven but it still has to be touched to get it in there. I don't mind touching it when it's cooked ... it's that soggy-flesh feeling when it's raw. My mom had a cafe ... it was supposed to be "our" cafe until she sold it ... then it was "her" cafe...

MD...i think the coconut can go in the freezer so it won't spoil!!! i hate the mess cooking chicken makes, but i finally learned to put the bacon in the oven to cook!!!

good morning MD!!!! it's very foggy out this morning...no sun yet!! i had a left over rib roast in the fridge, so daughter put it in the pressure cooker with some BBQ sauce and had pulled pork on buns!! i haven't had parsnips in a long time...so tasty!!!

Hi MD,I went on a train ride Monday on Scotrail from Glasgow to Mallaig and Had to switch trains in Ft. Howard to West Highland train to finally get to Mallaig. Went by two large Loch's. The weather was misty then bright and sunny. What a beautiful ride it was thru the Highlands....

Good morning Trix ...... BJ cooked chicken last night. We had potatoes roasted with garlic, onions and rosemary and parsnips coated with honey, olive oil and a smidge of Maggi ... and then roasted.
