PS ...... there's nothing wrong with factories .... good, honest work. I used to love the business of the area. They built a bank in Darlaston Green specially for the factories. I went there when the building was brand new. When the factories closed down ... it wasn't long before...

Sinister Smile .... my first job was a dirty one .... banking!!!! You wouldn't believe how filthy my hands got counting all that money. Then I went into even dirtier work ... the police force. LOL My dad worked at Charles Richards in an office. My mom was the canteen manageress...

Wow thanks for that MD my father worked for many years at Wellmans before they shut down. I never did like factory working when I was younger but now I sort of miss the noise dirt and oil, but not the terribly low wages I was on :)
