hi NQ....i have windows 7....but i know i used to defrag myself but the last time i tried it said it wasn't needed....but whereas i just trashed a crap load of stuff that gave me 38MB of space, that it would be a good time to defrag!! i can certainly wait to do it!!!

trix which operating system do you have. I ask because Vista, W7,W8 & W8.1 all do defragging in the background when your pc is idle. You should never need to manual defrag on those systems unless you never leave your pc on and walk away from it for 30-60 minutes everyday. If you'...

Not sure what's up with your defrag Trix ... defragging can take hours sometimes, depending on how often you do it ... I know mine is scheduled to do it automatically. Perhaps you'd be better off just shutting your laptop down and restarting it ... many issues are solved simply ...

Mira...for some reasom the defraging has stopped at 31%....been there for quite awhile now....oh yah...and i couldn't type anything either....my line was blinking but my letters weren't showing up....i had best stop while i'm ahead!!!!!

I'm no expert Trix but I think it's probably safer just to close all other windows while you're running the fix and repair program. :)

Mira....i'm having something look for and repairs errors on my computer!! then it said it can't check the disk while it's in use....does that mean i have to close the browser????
