I stand corrected. It is unusual to get lake effect this late in January because this year, Lake Erie is basically ice free. Once the ice forms the condition stops till around March when the lake starts to open up again.

Hi Deacon.  I didn't know much about lake-effect snow so I looked it up. It's even more rare than you think ...... only three places in the world get it. Also ...... you must have been on the downwind side ...... I read that  on Wiki. http://www.miseagrant.umich.edu/lessons/lesso...

Several days of relentless lake effect. Chardon got well over a foot by now maybe a foot and a half, I have gotten virtually none and the sun came out for a while yesterday on the west side.

Lol, it's clouded over now but if u are around when it clears up a bit then take a look. I don't think there has been an explosion lately for it to be ash.

Hi Carol ..... I can't even see the volcano.

I'm sure none of it will go to waste. I just had a hot chocolate mint drink. Why would Susan's brother hide his pot in a flask? If it was to save him getting into trouble .... why would Susan blab about it on here?   Very confusing.
