Mira .... I've seen burning tree trunks explode and the debris start other fires. The link that you put gives real cause for concern. The fire is getting bigger, there are lots of fallen tree trunks which will be tinder-dry and add to that the wind. This is a very dangerous place...

Mira ... the wind can make such a difference. The fires mentioned in this link were almost on my doorstep ... I shopped in Cogolin - it was the nearest town. If fire can catch firemen out - resulting in their deaths - these people would stand no chance. http://www.news24.com/Worl...
