MD if I had noticed it before she laid her eggs, I'ld of definitely had destroyed it ! and yup it probably would of been cruel but then nature can be cruel :)

NQ .... maybe this sounds cruel of me but next year it would be a good idea to stop the nest before it gets finished. Would it be possible to dislodge it as they start to build the nest ...... or pour water on it before any eggs are laid. They don't like wet beds.......

Only one egg hatched and of the other 3 eggs, 2 disappeared and the last one was definitely hard baked by the time mom & baby left.
The hard baked egg had a nice bulge in the center of it.
I knocked the nest off the light after the baby left with a broom handle--that nest was bak...
