W_d  .... when I first started to look at this cam I thought that within days the place would have a catastrophe. As time went by I realised that this is normal. I've got used to that idea  ..... looking at it from a distance, but I'm not sure how I'd feel if I was as close to it...

I'm glad this cam shows Susan and her plate. It would not have been the same having an empty room.

Trix ...... I knew the loo operation would have a drawback. And you know that the "jiggle" will get longer and more frantic until hubby has to do more repairs.  You should write a book!  :D

Hi Mira ...... it looks crystal clear to me. Trix ..... fish poo is organic so it's not all bad. Anyway ..... with 1 million tons of water per day on a 1,200 meter stretch of water ...... water far outweighs fish poo. So there!!!!!  LOL!!!!!

Morning folks ... the Kakita's water is probably cleaner untreated, than many treated city water systems!  Its water purity is world-famous.  :)

It is, especially since the record for one year is 996 (maybe 3 years back). I'm going by the NHK webpage. A friend went to the Sakurajima visitor centre and there they have the total as over 600. I don't know how they differentiate between types of events.

Hi Trix .... fish with worms on them sound horrible.  I've read so much about the Kakita River  .... I feel as if I know it inside out. For such a small stretch of water .... it's amazing. Also .... there are quite a few small videos. All in all ..... I'd be happy to dip my toes ...
