Looking at that board takes me back to my divorce in 1983. Infuriating days!  LOL

No sign of any thunder here yet.  It's peaceful and still ...  much like this camera.  Gorgeous view right now.

I wonder why they keep changing the angle of this cam.

Mira Bilis, where I am, only the greengrocer and wine store are happy to deliver stuff, and they do it for free. I have no transport and the bus doesn't go near enough for me to comfortably carry stuff. I have a sturdy shopping trolley but I must admit, I've appreciated having my...

Unfortunately, those of us who shop at small, independent stores (and buy locally sourced produce or grow our own) are still in a minority, no matter where we live.  There are still too many people in the world who think bigger and cheaper is better.  Luckily, those are the same ...

Hi Lizardmomma. This dad is so good. He seems to have been here more than mom today. We are hoping for a storm to cool the place down but the sun is shining like crazy. I don't envy you your heat, except in winter!  LOL You'd think our positive vibes would do some good for the e...

Good Morning everyone....well, IU see no change since yesterday. Maybe with all these good wishes from us, we can send some good kharma for these sweet things. I'm still hopeful...hope everyone is doing well today!

the smaller stores might be a bit more expensive but the quality is much better...

Trix, I saw how tatty they looked. It's always best to support your small, local stores if you can. My daughter works in a small store and it wouldn't survive if everyone shopped out of town.

did you notice how cheap and crappy looking their "picnic tables" were...i personally hate walmart...i like small stores run by people who live in the community...
MD · Jul 23, 2014 17:03
Trix, I was very careful to choose Walmart to show the picnic tables, we don't have Walmart in the UK. So Walmart don't think it's a picnic if you only sit on a blanket!  LOL
trix abound · Jul 23, 2014 16:59
picnic here would be a blanket to set on and a basket of cheese, crackers, bottle of wine and fruit...
MD · Jul 23, 2014 16:57
And I still agree with Mira Bilis!  This is too posh to go out in the garden.  :)
MD · Jul 23, 2014 16:54
Ah..... in the UK they call that garden furniture. This is the type of picnic table I was thinking of: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Portable-Picnic-Table/7933628

I just bult a new picnic table for my back yard and it is so heavy I needed a hand truck to move it, the benches are built right onto mine too.

MD...everyone here has a picnic table in their back yard usually with benches...for backyard picnics...
