Hi Mira Bilis, I see dad's back on duty. I look at this box many times throughout the day and it is always bright sunshine outside, through the entrance and the crack. The only time there isn't sun on it is at night. At 6am Lincoln time it is usually in darkness but from then on...

Lol. The date in the corner is January 1970 so I think this cam is in a time warp..... along with dozens of others. I'd think the light in there would cause problems after a while. You can't beat natural light.

I just heard about the Taiwan crash on ch5 news. That came just after the bodies of people from the Netherlands arrived home from the recent crash. Dreadful.

Mira Bilis, I love the different cloud formations, sometimes wisps, other times fluffy ones. And it's so good having the cam so close to the water. I think a good storm clears the air, as long as it doesn't go on too long.

A bit of breeze stirs up the atmosphere, so I'm guessing it dispels the mist/haze. I love all the different moods on this camera though, that's what makes it so enchanting. :) Thunderstorms forecast for us today ... this is highly unusual for this area, so we'll wait and see. ...

Greetings Amber and all! :D I noticed on the website page that it says the nest box is on their north wall ... so at least it should get some shade during the day. Mind you, that also seems to fly in the face of where they recommend a box should be positioned. Go figure. htt...
