From the descriptions of the food on that link it could also easily be any cafe/restaurant in Alaska or the northern Canadian provinces. :-)

Exactly ... TV's are for bars and pubs ... they have no place in restaurants.

For a whole hour I've watched this chap clearing the snow. And now it's snowing like crazy! He's got a job for life!

Ages ago I said they should put the snow heap on the carpark instead of by Nelly's. I'm pleased to see they are doing just that. Mini alps over the far end!

Nicole, you really will have to keep up! :)) I see they are clearing the snow from the carpark which means there will soon be a snow mountain on the corner. The corn-on-the-cob tree has only recently been switched off. Here's a link about the new owners and what they are going...

OMG the parking lot got a ton of snow lol. Like what 3 ft?? Thats a huge bummer about Nelly's :( I wonder what it's going to be next?

I didn't even know where Spokane was, I googled it. Then I saw the length of the journey. Some of the views of the mountains are so beautiful. As I said, I'd have liked more scenery but I found the whole thing very interesting. A few weeks ago I found a train journey on Youtube ...

I agree. I've never noticed the tv before, maybe it hasn't been on. If I was out for a meal, the last thing I'd want is tv.

Good link MD ... I've bookmarked that to watch later but I had a quick look at it ... it gives you an idea of the terrain we have in WA, although I've never been as far northeast as Spokane yet.

Seems odd to have a giant screen tv in a restaurant ... if this was a pub I could understand ... but it looks posher than that.
