Interesting, an Archbold police officer nabbed a speeder. I wonder what the drivers excuse was? Anyway, it didn't work because I saw the officer hand the driver a ticket.

Not a car parked on this Sunday morning. I really like the small town charm.

Archbold is getting hammered with the heavy snow. 12+ inches. The city looks deserted except for an occasional plow.

Mira... as you know... France is noted for its cheeses... about 500 different ones, at a conservative estimate. From the minute he got there my hubby missed his cheddar. He ate his way through quite a few different cheeses until he came across Cantal and found that to be a suitable substitute. I'm glad you discovered a supply of cheese... so satisfying.

... I only found out recently that our local wholefoods grocer sells imported English cheeses ... I am SO there!  :D

Some things are worth paying that bit more for MD, especially when it comes to good food!  :)

Mira.... that's the main street. The deli is fantastic. They sell baguettes made with all French ingredients, baked on the premises. The price is twice that of Co-op or Spar but it's worth it.  :)

Mira... no. If she did ... they would have her in there all the time. She's in North Street.. about a minute's walk away, maximum. She's a key holder so gets called out if the alarm goes off. The place opens at 7 and closes at 11pm.

The Spar building is reputed to be haunted. Nobody ever stays long in the flat.... inexplicable things happen. I'd love to be down town but I'm not sure I'd want that flat.  :))

Does your daughter live over the shop MD?  I know you said she works there.

Hi Deacon... that may be true of small American towns but the small town that I live in has a Spar shop open until 11pm every day of the year... except for Christmas day.

What I like in small towns is everything shuts down by mid afternoon.
