my google asked "do you mean Marie Hagen?" and i said "i don't know!"
MD03/20/15 23:20
Quite atmospheric. But I do wish I knew why it's called Marie Hagan roundabout. :))

The "Stonehenge" installation looks spooky in the fog.

Trix.... last night on tv there was a prog called "Most Shocking Reality tv Moments" and it was shocking. I didn't watch it for long. I watched as far as a drunk young woman lying in front of a camera doing things to herself with an empty wine bottle. I couldn't believe they would show such things but I was wrong. Obviously such progs must be cheap to make, having no actors, just stupid people after their 15 minutes of fame.
N Q... I'm not much of a fiction fan. I just can't stretch my imagination. Romance doesn't do it for me either. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool cynic! LOL

MD that sounds like an interesting show, but like Trix, I've never seen it on any of my channels.
Have either of you read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander epic series which are historical fiction that start out in Scotland and end in the US. The books are about a woman who goes back in time when she steps into a stonehedge type of stone circle in Scottland and ends out going back 200 years in time where she lives for awhile. In her books she talks about stone circles locations in a number of countries.
The books are interesting for their historical value besides the really fun, love story between an English woman and a Scottish Highlander who's 200 years younger than her :)

MD....most TV is trash now...have you caught any of the "reality" shows?...my goodness...what's happening to the humn race???
MD09/14/14 13:38
Trix.... it's a channel 4 prog. On tv recently, they've been saying to re-tune your tv on 3rd September as there are more tv channels about. I just re-tuned mine and I haven't got any new ones. I suppose it's because I'm surrounded by hills. Oh well....... some tv is trash anyway.

sounds like a great show...i get BBC America but time team has never been on...
I like watching Time Team. They've stopped making new progs but there are always some repeats I haven't seen. They are only on site for 3 days so as you can imagine, they have to work pretty quickly. Why do they always get rid of good series???

it is fascinating... i would love to have been an archaeologist...

Hi Trix... thanks for putting the link. isn't that fascinating? I shall certainly watch the tv prog about it.
Mira ... I knew about the bell from day one .... I looked at the cam in daylight. That's a very nice link. They are obviously proud of their town.
Thanks MD ... I took so long faffing around with my text that you green thumbed before I could add my comment ... LOL! :D
The cam page says "Marienhagener Verkehrskreisel mit Glocke" which translates as "Marie Hagen roundabout with bell" ... and now I see the bell! :)
Here's some info I found translated from German ...
