Sarah there are only 2 birds that I can think of with a tuff(crown) of feathers on their heads--the bluejay and the cardinal.

Baltimore, Maryland had 29.2 inches of snow.   It broke all previous records for snowfall.   The winter in Baltimore area is usually 6 weeks or so and this huge amount of snow, if it comes, is usually January or February.  By mid-March, the daffodils and crocuses are pushing up. ...
