I think there are more mothers who want their children off their hands than those who are happy to look after them themselves. On car journeys we always used to play games, if it was only spotting particular models of cars, or animals in fields. And I think I've already mentioned...

Trix... I couldn't agree more. I'm sure I'd have paid more attention if I'd been a bit older. They try to cram so much in. It seems a shame to take children away from play at such an early age. I don't know about the US but children here start school before they are 5 years old.

Looking at the bridge on the other cam, I think drivers must have expected the bridge to open on the hour. At first, cars were turning round and driving away but a few minutes to the hour the traffic started to queue.

MD...i always thought we were sent to school at the wrong age...let kids play and be kids...should start school when kids are 10 or 12...that gives the parents time too awaken the kids curiosity...
