Trix, it IS quite sad in a way. Once a fledgling flies out of the box, it doesn't come back. So eventually there's just the littlest one left.... all on its own..... no siblings..... no company... sniff sniff, sob sob... LOL!

It looks like a tree root or driftwood, being used for decoration. We have a massive old root that we dug up in the garden, leaning against one of our carport pillars, that we hang decorations on, like suncatchers and glass fishing floats. :)
